The AFS Exchange Traded Energy Instruments team facilitates the trading and yielding processes for CO2 allowances within the EU and UK Emissions Trading System (EU ETS and UK ETS).
Our Futures and Options specialists provide customers with liquidity for all European exchange traded emissions contracts. We specialise on hedging portfolio risks and future allowance prices, generating trade hints and customised customer research.
Instruments
Emission allowances are tradable permits that allow companies to emit a certain amount of greenhouse gases, such as carbon dioxide, into the atmosphere. These allowances are typically issued by governments as part of a cap-and-trade system, which aims to reduce overall greenhouse gas emissions by capping the total amount that companies can emit.
