AFS Group is a European financial service provider specialised as a multi-channel intermediary in the wholesale Financial, and Renewable Energy sector. From offices in Amsterdam (HQ), Frankfurt, London and Zürich our team of approx.100 professionals with more than 20 nationalities is servicing a large and growing diversified international client base with more than 1000 active counterparties among Financial Institutions, Corporate Clients and (semi) Government bodies. Services are provided on a wide range of Financial Instruments such as: Equity Derivatives, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, Interest Rates, Renewable Energy, Structured and Exotic products.

The Trainee Program

For our Amsterdam office − situated on the old exchange floor at Beursplein 5 − we are looking for eager trainees. During the first six weeks you will acquire basic financial skills and knowledge of a variety of financial products. You will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the different departments and desks of AFS. After this period you will start as a Junior Broker on one of the AFS divisions.

Competences and requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree with a genuine interest in Financial and/or Renewable Markets
  • Strong analytical, social and communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure as a team player
  • Decisive and capable to convince
  • Entrepreneurial flare with a commercial mindset
  • Fluency in English and at least one other language out of German, French, Italian, Spanish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Arabic or Chinese is essential
