AFS Group is an independent European multi-asset class broker, primarily operating as an intermediary for Financial Institutions, Corporate Clients and (semi) Government bodies.
With offices in Amsterdam, London, Zurich and Frankfurt, AFS offers a range of Fixed Income, Interest Rates, Energy / Environmental, Exotics, Equity and Equity derivatives products. AFS also offers a variety of market information and data services. AFS has 90 employees.
The Junior Program
During the first six weeks of your employment, we will teach and guide you, together with other juniors, on everything you need to know about a variety of financial products and about brokerage. During these six weeks, you will get theoretical explanation about different financial instruments and will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the different departments and desks of AFS. After these weeks, you will start as a Junior Broker on one of our AFS desks and you will, together with a team of professional and experienced colleagues, participate in the daily activities of the desk.
Required skills and experience
- a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Economics/Finance with a genuine interest in financial markets and financial products;
- a team player with the ability to work well under pressure;
- eager to learn;
- excellent numerical, analytical and communication skills;
- an entrepreneurial and ambitious spirit with a commercial mindset;
- fluency in English (verbal and written) and another European language is essential;
